Formulating the Self-Assessment
Self-Assessment is crucial as it is the very first step to defining the destination or dream stage where we wish our program to reach.
The self-Assessment deals with the shared vision of the team members. When performing a project, the shared vision is very important. Every project team member must see the same destination. In order to reach that destination, the gap must be identified. This is to let us know where we are standing, how far we are to reach there, what effort, and what effort we have to put into. Self-Assessment is the activities the team need to set up together in order to do the planning.
Innovitro's Steps to formulate Self-Assessment
There are 5 primary activities in formulation of Self-Assessment. Self-Assessment must be done by the workshop of the focusing area where self-assessment maturity model must be formulated.
Step 1: Appreciative Inquiry
Step 2: Brain-Storming for Components related to the work area.
Step 3: Draw out the barrier and turn it to enabler
Step 4: From enabler to the dream destination
Step5: Group workshop on defining the maturity level

From Self-Assessment to Gap Analytics and Planning
The result from assessment will allow the project team to identify the current stage and the target stage the team wish to drive the program into. It also indicates which teams or department units perform best in each category, so that the planning of knowledge transfer from other team can take place.
